The Funky Divas are a band within the band. The group began as a local gathering to connect through a love of music. The commitment to that message of community support and caring inspires us to continue to perform these shows today. Diva concerts are lively and upbeat, sharing the story of traditional American roots music. The spirit that flows through the songs is both rockin and reflective, filled with harmony and joy.
For the past 10 years, North River has performed an annual Christmas show as The Funky Divas. This special holiday show features well known Christmas songs and carols. The show combines the nostalgic music of the season with the musicianship and vocal harmonies North River is known for. You'll hear familiar music played a little differently.
