North River began in 2008. New Hampshire seacoast area musicians Dan and Vicky played a 'one time' benefit show together and had so much fun they have been playing their version of acoustically fun and funky covers at venues in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine ever since. The group plays out as a Duo, Trio or brings along a full band.
Vicky Poland and Carolyn Hutton, the vocal dynamic duo of the band, have been singing in musical groups in the seacoast area for over twenty years. Carolyn is also an accomplished musician and brings her skill on the mandolin to North River. Taking their great vocal harmonies one step further, both Vicky and Carolyn lend their singing talent to the Funky Divas of Gospel. Whether it's Folk, Rock, Country or Gospel music, if you give us a mic we'll sing you a song!
